Even if you're not a designer, you're still making design decisions.

Have you ever spent money on design, and realized you just made a huge mistake?

Arrested Development Mistake GIF

It didn't turn out, and you don't know how to fix it. So you hired a different designer and it was even worse!

It's a sick cycle, because you don't trust yourself to make these decisions yourself.

In this course, I'll help you understand not only how to make better design decisions, but also how to avoid them.

And having a better design eye will help you communicate what you want, when you need to hire a designer.

Decisions like:

  • Learn to choose and combine colors

  • Why you should never use pure black

  • How to choose a font

  • How to use spacing and grids

  • How to use Figma!

And so much more!

If you have ever worked with a designer but you're never happy with the results, there's a design gap. Not all designers are created equal, and if you can't communicate your visual ideas, it's going to be difficult to hit the mark consistently.

This course will take you through the steps to building out a design kit at the end, giving you a shortcut to working with designers.

You don't need to be a designer to make some damn good design decisions. You just need the 80/20.

This email course will show you how.

Overview

What is the 80/20 of design?

The 80/20 Design Challenge is for non-designers who want to level up their design chops, learning just the most important and fundamental aspects of design.

who is this course for?

Over the shoulder videos and walkthroughs for non-designers

This course is built for non-designers who care about design, but feel intimidated, scared, or don't have confidence in making design decisions.

It's for the ultimate beginner who wants to feel comfortable using tools like Figma, which allows you to create anything you want.

You might also be an engineer, PM, or marketing director who wants to better communicate your design needs, but lack the the visual communication skills to feel comfortable expressing ideas.

Why an email course?

No logins or passwords to remember

You may have never taken an email course. In fact, I had only taken one before building this. But here's the special thing about emails: They're always easily accessible without having to remember a login.

Here's an example of what these lessons will look like in your inbox. Incredibly easy to find and are organized like an actual online course.
